Alken Tours, Inc. specializes in travel to the entire Caribbean, selected destinations in Latin America, the U.K. and Europe, and to countries in West, East, Central & Southern Africa, Egypt and Israel. The company is also deeply involved in packaging special Caribbean events like Air Jamaica's Jazz & Blues Festival, Jamaica's Sumfest, jazz and music festivals in Barbados, St. Lucia and St. Kitts & Nevis.
The company customizes itineraries for its varied corporate clientele and is expert in arranging travel for corporate meetings, incentive and association groups and conventions.

Who we are

A well-established 30 year-old business, today Alken Tours Inc. is a major force in wholesaling travel to the entire Caribbean, Latin America, the U.K. and Europe. Alken Tours Africa Division specializes in customized itineraries and escorted group tours to major African destinations like Senegal, Ghana, Benin, Côte d'Ivoire, the Gambia, Egypt, Tanzania, Kenya and South Africa - with extensions to other countries like Zambia and Israel.

Founded in 1969 by Alfred F. Lawrence as Alken Travel, a retail agency focusing on the Caribbean, the company was restructured in 1974 in response to the demands of the market. The wholesale operation was split from the retail arm and Alken Tours came into being.
Now, the dynamic second generation management team, led by Patricia Lawrence-Haughton, is meeting the challenges of the tech revolution and the demands of the changing marketplace with new destinations and new products to suit the company's expanding clientele. In the 1980s, Alken Tours expanded operations to Florida ito better serve our market on the eastern seaboard. The development of the company's corporate travel capabilities necessitated the establishment of a base in the heart of New York City.
